Jewelry Care Guide

Keep your pieces beautiful, longer.

Your Dolce Vita New York jewelry is made to be worn, enjoyed and become part of your everyday life.

A little care can help preserve the beauty, shine and finish of your favorite pieces for longer.

Everyday Care

After wearing your jewelry, gently wipe it with a clean, soft, dry cloth to remove natural oils, moisture and product residue.

Whenever possible, avoid direct contact with:

  • Perfume and hairspray
  • Lotions and cosmetics
  • Household cleaning products
  • Bleach and harsh chemicals
  • Chlorine
  • Salt water for prolonged periods
  • Abrasive products or surfaces

We recommend putting your jewelry on after applying perfume, lotion, makeup and other beauty products.

Water & Everyday Wear

Many Dolce Vita New York pieces are selected with everyday wear in mind, and certain styles may feature durable PVD finishes designed for enhanced resistance to moisture and wear.

When a product is specifically described as waterproof or water-resistant, always follow the care information provided on that individual product page.

Even with durable finishes, we recommend rinsing and thoroughly drying jewelry after exposure to salt water, chlorine or other chemicals.

For the longest-lasting finish, avoid unnecessary or prolonged exposure to harsh environments.

How to Clean Your Jewelry

For regular cleaning:

Use a soft, clean cloth to gently wipe the surface of your jewelry.

If additional cleaning is needed, use a small amount of mild soap with lukewarm water, then rinse gently and dry completely with a soft cloth.

Avoid:

Abrasive cleaners
Harsh chemicals
Bleach
Jewelry polishing compounds
Rough brushes or cloths

Unless specifically recommended for the individual piece, we also suggest avoiding ultrasonic or steam cleaners.

Gold-Finish Jewelry

Many of our gold-tone pieces feature durable finishes selected for their rich color and polished appearance.

Like all finished jewelry, the appearance may naturally change over time depending on frequency of wear, individual skin chemistry, exposure to moisture, chemicals and how the piece is cared for.

To help preserve the finish:

Keep jewelry clean and dry when storing it.
Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive surfaces.
Store pieces separately whenever possible.

Stones & Details

Jewelry featuring stones or decorative elements should be handled with additional care.

Avoid dropping, bending or applying excessive pressure to the piece.

When cleaning, use gentle movements and avoid pulling or pressing on stones, settings or delicate components.

How to Store Your Jewelry

When you're not wearing your jewelry, store each piece in a clean, dry place.

Whenever possible:

Store pieces separately to help prevent scratches and tangling.

Keep necklaces and bracelets fastened before storing them.

Avoid storing jewelry in humid environments such as bathrooms.

Your Dolce Vita New York packaging is a beautiful place to keep your pieces protected between wears.

A Few Simple Habits

Last on. First off.

Put your jewelry on after applying beauty products and remove it before using harsh chemicals or participating in activities that could damage the piece.

Small habits can make a meaningful difference in preserving your jewelry.

Natural Wear

Jewelry is meant to be lived in.

Over time, subtle changes in appearance may occur as part of normal wear. The rate at which this happens varies depending on the piece, frequency of use, environment and individual care.

Normal wear and natural changes to a finish are not considered manufacturing defects under our 1-Year Limited Warranty.
